The DW tells me that the one I posted about was just into the state of Washington, Columbia Riverfront RV Park, Woodland, WA. It was a great place to camp and watch huge ships come and go down the river, just a little strange on the bicycle helmet rule.
The we made the mistake of staying at in Chowchilla, CA (Lakes RV & Golf Resort). The town was nice, but again this CG had the bicycle helmet rule. Of course this CG had other issues also. I was getting ready to take a shower about 5pm and their water went off. When we called the CG manager he tried to tell us that it was just low pressure. We told him it was "no pressure" but he didn't want to listen. He called back about an hour later and apologized when he found out they were out of water. Won't go back to that one, plus it was around $55 per night or more!
I wouldn't necessarily avoid a certain CG because of certain rules that I found to be silly or stupid, unless I was staying in them for an extended stay. The two aforementioned CG's we only stayed at for a couple of days each so it wasn't that big of a deal. But I would not want to stay at any CG for a week or more that required helmets. I don't own one and I am not ever going to wear one.
