I replaced our old style 13 inch 12 volt TV with a 26 inch flat panel 120 volt TV a few years back.
I removed the old TV and the roll out shelf it was mounted on.
Then installed a swing arm mount for the new TV.
The new much larger TV just fits into the cabinet on the diagonal.
I made a new door for the cabinet, using the old roll up door as the center panel.
I also added a 600 watt PSW inverter to supply 120volts for the TV and our DirecTV receiver. We also use it to charge phones, laptops and camera batteries. 600 watts is overkill, but I figured we might need it in the future.
The inverter had to be mounted close to the house batteries to minimize voltage drop in the 12 volt feed cables. This setup has worked out great for us.
