All these lucrative cases out there where people are illegally given discounts and you haven't cashed in if you became a lawyer for the money, or haven't stopped the practice to protect the poor undiscounted consumer if you practiced law for the greater common good. BTW, a Google search comes up blank for the "Pitman Act" and if you meant "Pittman" Act of 1918 that refers to a law that authorized the US government to melt down up to 350,000,000 ounces of silver dollars to convert into silver bullion to be sold to Great Britain at a price of $1.00 per ounce plus mint charges and at the same time permit the government to purchase a like quantity of silver from US mines to mint into new Silver dollars to replace the melted and sold coins. Under the act slightly more than 270,000,000 ounces of coins were melted and sold and a nearly equal amount re-coined. The act is now most notable to coin collectors since it's implementation resulted in a shortage of silver coins from certain years (the coins that were melted). No mention of discounts for RV repairs. Don't you just hate it when the facts ruin a perfectly good story?
Vulcaneer, you are correct, it is against the law to charge one customer one price, then another a different price for the same services. The Pitman act alone states that in the supreme court case. Again you are correct that in the act of whether the return on risk for the lawsuit is minor compared to the cost.
I will state again, what the OP said is illegal, if taken to court.
Note to WPO, I made pretty good living for 40 years as an attorney, I don't try to tell you how to run a rv park and you should do the same.
