We take our two dogs and three kids with us every time we camp. Kenneling the kids or the dogs is quite expensive, and the dogs don't really seem to like it.
However we clean up after our dogs, and kids, don't let either go into other folks campsites (other than the 6" by the road) and keep the dogs on leashes.
Our dogs don't bark, as long as they don't hear stuff. So the AC fan stays on high, and we leave music on in the RV if we are gone.
We do not take our dogs 'out' to places dogs don't need to be, mostly because our dogs are not that well behaved (we raise both the dogs and kids more for spirit than obedience it would seem).
