There is no such thing as a "China Bomb".
This is a fallacy put forth by those that do not understand the global manufacturing market, have never been to a high tech manufacturing plant in China (as I have),dont realize some of the best brands in the world are Mfg in China to exacting standards and continue to spread misinformation about China and it's people.
Maybe just because they are Chinese?
The Chinese are the highest paid and best educated and most literate of all of Asia's workforces except the for the Japanese.
My feeling is that those that continue to pound this drum have ulterior motives based in Cultural, Racial and political differences, NOT the quality of the manufacturing.
I know quite a bit about the Global Manufacturing Market...Evidently you don't know as much about this topic as you think you might....To obtain a TS16969 ISO certification, you have to have manufacturing processes, training processes and Quality processes in place....JUST LIKE MY MANUFACTURING PLANT, here in the USA. Anyone who wants to be a "world wide distributor" and have a REPUTATION to back their integrity will pursue this certification....Sailun tires, manufactured in China is ONE OF THE FEW who has opted to project reliability and quality in their manufacturing processes.
I know that Michelin and other major manufacturers have moved some of their plants to China to take advantage of labor cost, and their product ALREADY has credibility AND Quality processes built into their manufacturing process...
Until the other "off the wall brand names" manufactured in China really WANT to manufacture a quality, dependable product..most of the name brands they ship state side and sell to RV manufacturers will still continue to get a "bad rap", because that's what they are...BAD!....Some just continually change the name on the tire to something else just to try to continue in business...
You won't see the failures as often on the Light weight pop-up's, lighter TT's and 5er's, but once you get around 10,000 GVW and upward....China made tires have a lousy reputation..heck it was even talked about in this months Trailer Life magazine....
Believe what you want to believe, but working for a manufacturing companywhere they also manufacture tires , though my business is in the manufacturing of brake calipers, EPB calipers and ABS systems, I DO know what goes into the manufacturing process to get a quality product...and one MAJOR step is attaining TS16969 certifications ( automotive), that proves you are a Tier 1 world wide supplier with a very good Quality reputation....Most Chinese tire manufacturers don't want to waste their time on the auditing process you go through to obtain this certification..would cost too much and training and safety are the number 1 facets just to get started...
...and as usual, if someone doesn't agree with someone else....seems some want to spin it into racial, cultural or politically motivated.....when in reality...Most Chinese tires are just plain BAD......all one has to do is the research:S ( notice I said "most", not all..Sailun tires, have a very, very good reputation and a bonus is they are TS16969 certified.
