Chinese RV tires... holding up!

Well in truth. the Endurance have only been on the market for 4 or 5 years. Not really enough time to build, a reputation good or bad. That they are GoodYear is one strike against them.

I know they are supposed to be very good, and would be my second choice. But for now. Maxxis is still the go to ST tire.

Give me a break. When I touted how good they were at two tears on the market some said wait til they have been on the market for four years. They have been now around 4.5.

ZERO reported non road hazards is hard to argue with but some will. When that doesn’t work they claim thin tread and lousy mileage.

I have looked for failures with no findings. If there have been someone would have posted it by now.

It took around 5 years of use before issues with Maxxis tires started showing up on RV and non rv trailering websites. Sales don't sky rocket the first or second year after introduction to the market.

JMO but I find I get better/different input about tires on trailers when Looking in on all types of rv and non rv websites..rather just whats going on on with a couple of rv websites or just rv.net.

With this many inputs, I would need to do a thorough reviews from "verified purchase" to get a replacement. lol

May even get a good price for my Chinese tires as it's all looking new despite the mileage.

Actually 4-5 years is plenty of time to build a decent reputation. If there have been few to no failures in 5 years, that would indicate it's a decent tire. After all, many people replace their tires after 5-6 years, so no failures in the life of their tires is a good thing.

Any tire brand can have failures. But, please state the circumstances of the failures you reference and where the info can be found.

It should be noted, that failures which are adjudicated (in court) in the plaintiff's favor will be sealed by the mfgr as part of the settlement. Only law firms will reference the results of same - you won't see it on forums or via Google....with one major exception which ran in the SP Times.

Also - GY took care of (most) of the Marathon failures by replacing the tires with (only) new *GY* tires, but no compensation for damage to owner's trailers caused by the tire/s. You can find lots of old threads, right here on RV Net.

You obviously are a big fan of GY Endurance! - Your prerogative!..:C

Kinda reminiscent of RV Net poster "Fast Eagle" who was a dyed in the wool ST tire fan - he even (accidentally) alluded to having no less than 22 ST tires on his trailer over a couple of years. He even had a tire engineering background to back up *his* "stellar" claims, LOL.

I wouldn’t even consider Endurance on my fifth wheel , maybe a lighter boat trailer or travel trailer . The stellar reputation is the Sailun S637 , they have proven themselves over any RV tire I’m aware of for many years now . There won’t be another brand that will go on my truck or fifth wheel .

I was in Az for 13 years and the longest I got out of China STs was 50 months and then I went to 16" LT LRE. The STs usually had tread separation but one blew out the sidewall while in winter storage, covered and off the ground. Then I got a 18k tri axle cargo trailer with 26 month old STs and all 6 of them separated within a 20 mile drive before I could get to a tire shop to get 16" LTs on it. I don't think those Chnese tires could have gotten any worse!
My 8 y.o. Cooper LTs on my fiver still look like new. Craig
