The smoke coats every little or big surface. There is not much way to get it out of fabrics, carpets, insulation and so on.
You may make it smell less but when it is damp and warm it comes back out with vengence.
A vehicle that has been smoked in and they use that chemical on will stink just about as bad had they not used it in a short time.
