Reese does make a weight distributing and sway control hitch that uses a 2.5" draw bar. The whole hitch is bigger/heavier and designed for heavier use but is the same basic design as their smaller 2" hitch called, if I remember correctly, the Striaght Line, or Dual Cam.
If all you want is a 2" opening that doesn't rattle, you could weld your 2" sleeve adapter into the hitch and leave it in there permanently, if you have no need for the 2.5" hitch opening. There are also various anti-rattle devices you can try, to reduce some of the slopping.
At least one of the reese 2.5" drawbars is EXACTLY the same at the hitch end as the 2". The only difference is the reciever shank dimensions. And I think many of the other Reese 2.5" shanks also have the same hitch dimensions at the 2". I know since I've put a 2" hitch head on a 2.5" reese shank and it fit fine.
