The DW and I both don't care for the hose taste of water so we do this. We buy gallon jugs of water from WalMart for 88 cents each and use them just for drinking water. Sure makes the taste of coffe...

We take gallons for cooking and drinking and have bought the 2 gallon with a spigot that you put on counter. My camper is old and I have no idea how the tank was treated before me. I did give it a HEAVY dose of Clorox when I bought it.
BTW, the white RV hoses don't give water a bad taste IMO. It's what the CG offer that is sometimes not so good in the taste and smell department.
