In other words, if you use water on your carpet, the linoleum under the carpet will never let water reach the wood under it.
Check it out, if you can pull up a small spot of your carpet. So you can use all the water (wet shampoo) you want.
agreed. common construction on trailers is to install vinyl flooring front to back on the floor, then finish building the trailer and installing cabinets, carpet etc.
I wait for a warm day, rent a carpet cleaner, clean it, rinse once with clear water, then open windows, and turn on the heat for a while if needed to let the carpet dry.
