I take it that this (Coach-Net Motorized Plans) and and this (Frequently Asked Questions) are not good enough? If you notice the highlighting as you scroll over the areas with your mouse, click on them and they open up for further explanation. It is as good as any explanation as I seen any ERS offer on line.
I know how you are devoted to CN and that is great, for you… not so for someone shopping and seeking information… because the links do not meet what I think are minimum standards for a honest quality business, deserving the trust of the consumer…
The question isn’t if you like them or are satisfied… the question is the person not in the know and shopping… can he rely on simply the promotional stuff and have the limitations hidden from him…
The answer to that is quite simply no…
Let’s start with the first term they mention…
The benefits and services offered by your
membership are described in this guide.
Please read this benefit guide to become familiar
with the benefits and services. In the
event there is any inconsistency between the
languages of this guide and the information
provided by an employee, representative, independent
contractor, or sales brochure, the
language in this guide shall govern.
Except you can’t see or read the guide with the governing language until you send and they receive your money… and then you get this…
By accepting your membership card, you
agree to abide by all terms and provisions set
for the in this Benefit Guide.
In their FAQ they say…
Am I protected while in my campsite?
Yes! You are covered not only on the roadside but also while in your campsite as long as you are in a commercial campground or up to 100 feet off of a maintained road.
But the governing language is just a little different…
The Emergency Roadside Assistance service is
designed to assist members whose vehicle becomes
disabled as a result of unavoidable circumstances,
which are mechanical in nature.and
Simple winch out or extraction
services
required in order to tow the disabled
vehicle are covered up to 100 feet off a maintained
road or in a commercial campground
equipped for camping vehicles. Where in the FAQ do the mention excessive use…
excessive use* of club benefits
or services may result in cancellation or
non-renewal of your membership.
*Excessive use is determined based upon
such considerations as your length of membership,
nature, frequency, volume and dollar
amount of claims.
Where in the FQA do the describe their policy for accidents???
Accidents/Vandalism/Fire
In case of a mechanical disablement due to an
accident, vandalism, or a vehicle specific fire
which are normally covered by motor vehicle insurance,
you must pay the service provider, submit
the bill to your insurance company and then,
if the insurance company refuses payment of the
charge, upon submission of the service provider
invoice and a copy of the insurance letter specifying
the reason for rejecting the claim, NMC
will reimburse for covered roadside services up
to a limit of $500 per incident. All claims are
processed in 30 days.
The thing is you can’t compare without all the info, even if you agree with it…
Of course all of this is assuming they haven’t changed the language , BUT I can’t get a newer version to know…
The FAQ say that the old and new plan is the same except with some additional new perks which they go on to list…
Brag about their services you received, but you’re a smart guy, why and how do you defend a bad and dumb policy like this…
