Coach-Net SO Frustrating / Good Sam Here I Come

I got a year free with Coach-Net due to buying a new Class C.

Needed them once & sat on hold for a long time so hung up.

Ford roadside assistance picked up immediately (ironically, they outsource their roadside assistance to Coach-Net but the call got picked up at least).

Now trying to renew with Coach-Net.

Both their renewal letter & the renewal section of their website list plans that are not described in the plans section of their website.

For example: Renewal section of website defaults to the "Gold" plan. Try to find anything on their website explaining what the Gold plan covers.

Called them. Agent said just do the Gold plan but couldn't really explain why.

Then e-mailed them. Was told I'd get a response in 2 days. That was about 10 days ago & I'm still waiting.

At this point, I think I am going to go the Good Sam route just because I know what I will get. It's even more money.
  • Yeah, I know what you mean. CoachNet could not find a service person in network for me on the 101 in Washington.
I now have Good Sam. Hope I never have to try them out when on vacation....for multiple reasons. Happy Trails.

  • No problems with Coachnet. We had to call them out when we got stuck in mud. The tow truck was there within 30 minutes and pulled us out. Great service.
  • I have no problem figuring it out, don't know why you do. It is all there and very clear. But don't know where you are getting the gold plan from??? I think the old plan options, but they have all changed now. The plan for motorized (Class A. B. and C motorhomes) is Limited, Basic, and Premier Coach. And if you follow the link to their page, you can see what the plans basically cover. In my book, you want the Basic or Premier Coach for the Unlimited Towing and Tire Assistance. The Premier Coach also Member, spouse and dependent children ages 24 and under, for your
RVs and all other personal vehicles owned, rented, borrowed or leased, and that is hard to find in any ERS, and a really nice addition for the extra bucks. Again, the link: http://www.coach-net.com/Plans/Motorized.aspx. Myself, I would not be caught with just the limited plan.
  • I have had Coach-Net since 2005 and I never have had problem with them. Anytime I had a request for service it was answered quickly and professionally. I just looked at their website and found comparison pages for both trailers and motorhome coverage.

But if you have a less then satisfactorily experience, changing services is one way to let them know you are unhappy. Good luck.
  • On the Coach-net web site under FAQ's it says in part "Many things about the new Premier Coach and Premier Towable membership plans are the same as the Gold and Platinum Plus plans we offered" so I guess there's no more Gold and Platinum now there called Premier Coach and Premier Towable.
