Coast to Coast resorts issue

Ok newbie on here. I have a question for C T C members?? we didn't know this when we joined but for the most part seems like a bunch of the campgrounds have weekends and holidays blocked. I know the prime time for them is when they make there money but if they are going to block why are they part of the program?? guess it just irks me for now while I still work full time. thinking it will not be so bad when retired and can go any ole time... anybody have ways around the blocked dates??

  • We found the same thing to be true and no longer have a membership. Passport America is the same way. They'll block you out on certain days or holidays or special events, etc. So, what good are these memberships?
  • We looke at a membership and decided to go and use their CG on a busy wknd. We got right in, strange I thought for MD. After talking to members I was rather dismayed at the perceived or otherwise treatment they were getting so I bought a 7.5QD Onan and now go where ever I want, turn it on and enjoy AC, fishing and fun without being told I have to or having all the racket at 2 AM and lights etc. I get real burned out going to any campground and the guy next to me will ahve every light on all night like he's scared of the dark. Anyone ever camp at Nisland SD? That's quiet.
  • It says up front in all their (C2C) literature that holidays in C2C parks are closed for all except home park members. Those are the ones who paid $$ ( in many cases big $$) for their camping priveleges. Closed on ordinary weekends - I doubt it. Have been members for 15 years and used the C2C parks all over the country and never have run into that.
The "friends and relatives" comment is totally uncalled for - an unfounded remark unless that poster can back it up!
  • That is why we dropped membership campground.
Managers or hosts blocked out for their friends. Management blocked it out so they could get customers off the street rather then allowing members for near nothing.
