Collapsable drinking water hose... yay or nay

The Zero G hose is not a "flat" hose, nor, is it to be confused with the expanding hoses. A Zero G hose that is 25' long is just that, 25' long. They do "plump" a bit in diameter, but, they don't get longer. They also work just fine coiled up. I am currently using a 25' Zero G with 4' going up into the wet bay and about 7' going to my water softener, the other 14' of hose is coiled about 12 inches in diameter and it is laying in stone and Arizona Sun. It has been out there for going on 7 months this season and this is the third season it has been used this way.

I have owned those expanding hose disasters and, trust me, the Zero G is not related to those, even faintly. It is incredibly lightweight, extremely supple, and super easy to handle when cold. I had one finally start to leak. Bought another to replace it. I carry 4 25' hoses and they take up less space than a 50' white hose. Won't leave home without them.

I have the same hose and I think I got it at Sams or Lowe's. Ihave been real happy with it so far.

We have them in the RV store. I don't remember selling any in the last year.

I LOVE this hose! I have 2 of them and couldn't be happier. I bought mine at Lowes and use it for the supply line to the RV. I think some people here are confusing this hose with the one that expands and retracts. This hose only collapses when depressurized. Also, it does not get stiff in cold weather and is super easy to store. This is the only hose I will buy now.

Used one for over 60 days last summer thru Yukon, BC and Alaska. No problems. They work great.
Very easy to handle and store.

I have them and love using it.for black tank flushing or washing cars trucks .the only problem is you waste a lot of water draining them to have it recoil when you are done with it.

I’ve used a zero-g just like that as our only hose for the last several years with no problems whatsoever...haven’t needed >25’ yet. I’ve left it connected and pressurized for close to 30 days at a time. I do toss any unnecessary hose under the TT to keep the sun from warming the water and to keep the hose from being in the way. I just bought a 50’ one to use to wash the car (yep - our last campground in FL allowed car/rv washing) or if I ever need a longer hose.

IMHO they don’t really collapse hardly any in diameter or length, they just fold or coil up in small sections.

I have 2 100' zero g hoses for 3 years and they coil up nice in my 5 gallon bucket..Alot easier than dealing with a big tote and regular hose..Also they have a 5 year warranty I believe

I had 2 of the first ones that came out, (don't remember the brand name) but the first one, I used several times, then the last time it was really sunny & hot, evidently the water boiled inside the hose & it burst, still have the other one, unopened, only carry it as an emergency back-up.

I have two of the collapsible hoses that I bought at Camping World. One feature I like about them is they roll up on a plastic reel.

We used to camp a lot at forest service campgrounds, where the water spigots are scattered around the loops. Every time I was in a situation where my hoses were too short I bought another hose. I now have two 50 foot flat hoses plus 3- 25 foot vinyl hoses. I have used 175 feet in the past, but not recently.
