Colorado I-70 snow

This is just a warning for those traveling thru Colorado today. A Denver radio station said the snow was bad enough to shut down I-70 between Georgetown and the Eisenhower Tunnel this morning. It has since re-opened but is still snowing lightly.
  • Yep... the first significant snows occur on the roads and folks forget how to drive in it.
  • We were in RMNP last Sunday for Fall Colors. Weather was t-shirt weather! And tonight it might hit 32*F back down in Boulder.

Hearing the Elk Bugle was really, really neat!
  • It's sure not predictable. We have relatives and grandsons in towns east of Denver and have seen I-70 open in Dec/Jan and closed in April/May. Sometimes they can make it here (western slope) for the holidays and sometimes not.
