Command Hooks

Does anyone have this 'wire' style of Command Hooks?

I have a bunch of the regular kind of Command Hooks, but not this style. I am wondering if a broom (with a hole at the top of the stick) can hang on them?

Thanks! Jules
  • I was out shopping today and found a small corn broom, which will be perfect for sweeping out the steps, and it's small enough it slides behind the couch. Works for me. :)
  • I had a broom on the wire hook, as mentioned it banged around constantly. Switched to a plastic broom clip held on with 2 sided tape, the good 3m stuff.

I have soem in fact I'm looking at one as I type.. I like the idea of a string loop on the broom but it depends on the size of the hole.

ONE warning about command, it sticks well, On many RV's the top layer of the wall (Either paper or laminate) is not all that well stuck and the command hook will pull it right off the backboard.. Just so you know. Had that happen ONE time.

Yup, that's what happened to me. After it pulled the paper off of the wall I had a :S moment because I should have seen that one coming.

  • Good point about the broom swinging. Thanks Norm.

2dogs, I couldn't get your link to work, so see if this works! I like it!
  • How about something like this:
    http://www.rvlocksandmore.com/Global-Link-and-Fastec-FIC-Brand-RV-Locks-and-Keys/Broom-and-Assorted-Clips/BC-L225-Z

It holds the broom without it hanging and swinging like F1bNorm said.
  • Yes, we use that kind of hook to hold a broom as well as other stuff. It works fine.
  • A couple thoughts on things hung on a wall:
    1. In a MH the constant swinging/banging sound can drive you nuts
    2. In a short time, the head of the broom will leave a wear mark on the wall

    Norm's 2 cents

Why not put a loop of string or a cable tie through the hole in the broom?

Hook the loop on the regular command hook.

I think the broom would hang better. JMO

    Good idea! Thanks!
