Has anyone noticed lately that many threads have "snooty" or "snarky" comments within the thread disappearing complelty much more frequently?Sometimes the whole thread just goes "poof."It appears to me that the moderators are trying to make this forum a kinder and gentler place, and that is GOOD.What say you all?

it also seems that it is more important to play who has the bigger finger than answering the question asked.it must be easier to quote what others say and insult them.Those that will read this and know who you are save the comments so the thread can stay open. And if the truth about something is said and hurts ones feelings remember that is just ones opinion not a reason to make the thread disappear

They put me in my place sometime ago; probably rightly so. Maybe I'm not the only one...

I, personally, think they shouldn't stop or delete the post. We're adults, we should be able to talk. What they SHOULD do is delete the offenders.......:) I've been put in my place a couple of times in the past......now I'm just more careful.

I think they should openly caution what they feel is offensive. Then if they feel it is way out of line delete, with the statement sent to the offender on a PM with a warning.

Removal alone helps no one.

A&E has every right, as the employer, to impose any rule they like. Now, they may have cut their nose off to spite their face.

Duck is wildly successful, although I don't why, and this action is going to cost them. After all, A&E is a for profit business.

Unless your contract is written so tight it doesn't matter. Jay Leno on The Tonight Show has been bashing NBC to no end for the last 12 months or so.

Folks, I do expect members to be friendly to and repectful of others. Oh, and yes I do edit / delete posts if they violate the rules.
