One might argue that with shorter trailers that a TT might be easier to back than a fifth wheel...(see post above about the effect of tail swing) and the fact that it's a fifth wheel means it might be several feet shorter from a wheelbase standpoint...thus a double dose of reduced response.
The OP's comment, while a bit over stated, is fairly valid.
