Somewhere recently I saw someone point out that it was not that hard to find a rough road with strategically located pot holes or ruts to where the truck leans one way, the 5ver leans the other, and the trailer contacts the bed rails *hard*.
We recently went from a 1/2 ton truck pulling a 24' (end to end) TT, to a 3/4 ton CCSB truck pulling a 31' TT, and are considering changing directions to a short (30 ft or less) 5th wheel, *and* are interested in doing more boon docking... the subject is of some interest to me ;)
Have had both. Biggest difference in backcountry is the added height and avoiding things like trees with the 5er. Otherwise not much different than my old bumper pull.
