Compatibility

Just bought a '17 F-150 supercab, 3.5 Ecobomb, W/10 Speed, 3:55 Rear Gear, 145" wheel base, brake controller and tow package(not Max tow). We're liking this couples trailer http://www.creativebussales.com/rv/travel-trailers/heritage-glen-hyper-lyte-23rb a lot. Yank that sleeper sofa out and replace it with a dual recliner love seat or some mini recliners. Install a good stereo, speakers and sub and I think we will be GTG. Gonna try and order it without the standard A/C and see if they will install a Coleman Mach III power saver so I can run it with my little Honda eu2000i. If not I will.

Think the Ford will pull it OK? Ball park MPG at 62-65 MPH? I'm thinking it will be about 6,250lbs wet.

Initial surge of even a PS version may cause your EU2000i to overload and stall since it's LRA is 50.5 amps, the same rating for the Mach III Plus ... I'd instead keep the stock A/C and equip it with a MicroAir Easy Start Soft Starter Kit that will solve this issue nicely.
  • On the other hand, if you let them do their usual...install...you'll be (fairly) sure all the wiring and duct work is there. Somebody will buy that factory AC from you.
  • I don't think there is any towing issue. Interesting to see if they will mod the TT build to leave out the AC. I'm betting the robots will say "no" and install one.
