1/2T deal breaker for me. Weight aside you’ve got a long unstable pendulum back there that would have no problem manhandling any 1/2T under the right conditions.
Get the HD truck now and in a few years step up to a nice towing 5er. Not a fan of long bumper pulls and can only cringe everytime I see one with the family loaded up in a 1/2T.
