Buy one of the all-white strips and don't worry about the control box. I have several wired directly(via a fuse) to 12v source. Inside, across the top of our slides for indirect light. Above dash for indirect light in that area. I got a 5 meter(16 ft) length and some extra connectors, cut it to whatever length I needed. Used leftovers wherever they would fit.
