One of the caveats of camping is being able to take the dog. The dog makes camping more enjoyable. Gives me a reason to take a walk or a hike. The dog enjoys swimming in the lake. Hanging out at the camp fire etc.
However the dog does not add to a hotel stay. The dog actually detracts from a hotel stay. Walking the dog around a hotel parking lot does not sound enjoyable.
Staying in a pet friendly room detracts from my experience as well.
If I were hoteling it I'd just leave the dog at home.
In my case at home would mean the expense of a kennel. Which would bring me full circle and back to using an RV.
