- Us_out_WestExplorerWe tend to use the old 'common sense rule'.
Course we have a 5th wheel so we don't get to vote.
:W - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
I use a crock pot in the sink with its own little seat belt. - nineoaks2004ExplorerTry it if you want to, I would never try to cook while on the road, too many things could go wrong not to mention someone getting hurt,or a big mess in the RV.
- Gene_GinnyExplorerCooking while driving???
Depends on how close the stove is to the drivers seat.
:R - NYCgrrlExplorerI'd feel comfy cooking whilst cooking in a motor home or camper truck but not in a TT. Prolly too attuned with my senses. I'd use a sink swathed in towels for a crockpot or timer shut offed pressure cooker if I had one of the former.
- Thunder_MountaiExplorer IINo problem. We've washed, dried and cooked while in motion. We are still alive and drivin'.
- navegatorExplorerCooking while driving is not allowed!
Unless it is road kill!
navegator - DrewEExplorer III'd say go for it with some care and consideration about what is in the oven. Baked potatoes for instance would be pretty safe; they may roll around some, but that's about it. On the other hand, I have a hard time baking a pie in the oven in my house without making a mess inside, and that oven definitely isn't moving around much.
A crock pot or rice cooker reasonably secured (in the sink is a good way) is also reasonable in my opinion, as are some things in a microwave. I would not do anything on the stovetop, nor many prep activities, particularly those involving sharp instruments. Basically, exercise some common sense. - mike-sExplorer
- K_CharlesExplorerWe aren't in a hurry so we don't but friends of ours do a roast every now and then. Even if it rattled around it wouldn't make a mess.
