I travel alone, 76/widow. Right now back in home territory (FL.) Got super sick about 3 weeks ago. For 2 days I basically went from sofa to bed to sofa and tried to fix whatever I could find to eat. Fortunately for my companion, I stock food in the freezer for him along with his dog food. I finally made it to a Dollar Store and picked up some stuff to get by with. Learned to have about a weeks worth of staples, canned food, bread, milk, oatmeal, soup on hand. I have no family... am sure a neighbor or two would have helped if necessary.
