A lot depends on your initial investment. A used camper and truck can be be purchased economical to lower costs. Same can be said about motels, Motel 8 vs Hilton.
Regardless of cost I enjoy camping more then staying in a motel. Never ran into a No Vacancie sign with my camper.
The other big thing for me is I like to cook my own food, Motel you're depending on eating out.
Might not apply to you but I travel with my Collies so no worries about motels taking them.
Boils down to what you prefer, aren't you glad we have choices.
