Thank God I got a choice.
When time is a premium and distance is far I do fly and Stay in a motel but that is not the preferred method of travel for me.
It does not have to be exclusive one or the other, it's what makes the most sense at the time.
The point is if you want to spend a few days in Times Square or close to what Chicago has to offer having the camper with you can become a burden. Especially if you live over 1000 miles from those destinations.
That is an extreme example. But I have stayed at both Liberty Harbour and Croton Point Park and visited Times Square and all of NYC. Granted I'm not 1000 miles away but it can be done.
On the other hand I flew to San Diego and used hotels on the West Coast more due to time restraints. If I had the time I would have loved to take the RV to Cali and back
