If you have cell service at your house the all in one plans with mobile voice and data and 10GB will be the cheapest way to go and you can avoid the $70 cost for a home land line. This is also a mobile solution as you can use the data service when traveling should you choose to do so.
We pay Dish $40 a month and that includes the taxes. I negotiated them down from $65 a month after our contract period ended. We pay $9 a month to Netflix for their downloadable content.
We cannot get cell reception at our house so we need the $70 land line for voice phone. In addition to the $40 for Dish, we pay $110 a month for 4 cell phones without data. For data use we need a lot more than 10GB a month and neither DSL or any broadband service is available, so we have an AT&T T-1 line that costs us $360 a month for 180k speeds but has no data usage cap. The only way to reduce our $600 a month cost would be to sell our house and move.
