Are you sure you can, want to tow that much weight? Double check your MH manual to see what it's rated to tow. My 30 foot Class C I think is only rated for 5,000 lb. possibly it's less and you need to count cargo in the Equinox. I tow a 2700 lb. Chevy Sonic and that seems like enough to me when it comes to accelerating, hill climbing and stoping. My Blue Ox tow bar cost over $900 and the baseplate for the Sonic was; not sure, but hundreds then there's several hours labor but, yes, that seems high.
