That's unfortunate about the devices. But it is what it is. You have to work with your doctors. Our cardiologist was very conservative and followed the research on them very carefully and as I said. . . to begin with, he said no. But they have been out over 10 years now and he believed they had worked the bugs out. As to the cost, coumadin itself is very inexpensive. We were able, however, to go to LabCorp anywhere in the country, which was great, because we fulltime. I think some people have used Quest Diagnostics. But if we were still doing it, we would try the device because the results would be instant whereas we sometimes got our results a little late.
