What ignorance? He speeks what the overwhelming majority of people believe but are afraid to say!
From Yahoo
"Robertson's defenders should read his comments again, because their defenses are off-point. If you're defending Robertson, here's what you're defending:
Robertson thinks black Americans were treated just fine in the Jim Crow-era South, and that they were happy there. " I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. We’re going across the field.... They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."
Robertson thinks the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor because they didn't believe in Jesus. "A ll you have to do is look at any society where there is no Jesus. I’ll give you four: Nazis, no Jesus. Look at their record. Uh, Shintos? They started this thing in Pearl Harbor. Any Jesus among them? None. Communists? None. Islamists? Zero. That’s eighty years of ideologies that have popped up where no Jesus was allowed among those four groups. Just look at the records as far as murder goes among those four groups."
Robertson hates gay people. Robertson in 2010: " Women with women, men with men, they committed indecent acts with one another, and they received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions. They’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil."" - kevdenExplorer

It looks to me like phil has a full comprehension of, awareness of, is fully conscious of, is totally familiar with, experience with, and has lots of information about..... the BIBLE. - Oregon_MsExplorerWilber, you need to get into that RV and travel more, see the cultural differences out there. People are fascinated by these cultural diversities, that's why they travel, it's also why they watch shows like Honey Boo Boo and Toddlers and Tierras (two favorite shows of the Hollywood elite). I sure hope that's why they watch these shows, I certainly hope it's not to laugh at them or mock them. That would be mean, right?
People in the deep south of the United States may have had different life experiences and may have different thought processes than people from, say, Abbortsford, British Columbia, Canada. - wilber1Explorer

An overwhelming majority of people believe black people were happy under Jim Crow? Interesting. - Oregon_MsExplorerI have no strong opinion except that I get upset when I see people constantly trying to hack away at our constitutional freedoms, Freedom of Speech being right up there. Seriously, if you say something outside of work that you believe for religious or political reasons should your boss be able to fire you?
One more thing, I see people bending over backwards to accommodate religions such as Islam, that's nice. Why can't we accommodate the Biblical beliefs of Christianity too? Aren't we a country that was founded on religious freedom? - abc40kidsExplorerWe live in a world where we can't hurt anyone's feelings or someone gets all upset! It's ok to say you support gays...... Not ok to say you believe it's wrong! I don't think Phil really gives a rip about what A&E thinks, they probably should have thought more about what he thinks.
I hope the whole family walks and some other channel picks them up! Our country has been going the wrong way for some time now, only getting worse, just look around. - USARMYCWExplorer

If he had done this about the bible I'd bet it would be ok to hang him. :B - mockturtleExplorer II'Ignorance' appears be defined as a viewpoint opposed to yours.
- JEBarExplorerwhile traveling we often stop at Cracker Barrel restaurants .... as this is being typed we are on our way west in our camper traveling from central NC to eastern KY for Christmas and then on to Texas for the next couple of months .... earlier today we heard of Cracker Barrel pulling the items from their shelves so tonight we voted with our pocketbook and instead of eating at the west Asheville Cracker Barrel where we normally go, we drove by it and ate at a different restaurant .... my plan was to sent the company an email that I had little reason to believe would do any good and tell them that their decision had cost them our business .... after hearing of the change, the email told them they lost business tonight but that we no plant (as usual) at one of their restaurants in eastern TN tomorrow
