cannesdo...had to fight for her...as the SunLabs IP Lawyer ruled that
she was not eligible for the $1K patent filing bonus because she was a
summer intern...therefore also not eligible for the $4K patent issue
bonus...she was awarded for six of those patents and paid for a
portion of her remaining three years at Cal Berkeley...
Just because 'she' was a she and summer intern is no basis for that
denial...took it to my boss (corporate Exec VP reporting to CEO) and
so humorous when he asked to meet her before he jumped in to help
Funny because he thought she was a kid (any 17 year old is) after
meeting her and a 'girl' did this work???... :R
Anyway, don't be intimidated by that leaf spring eye bushing. Sure
it will take resources (money, time, tools and/or finding a shop
to do the work)
Think about this...TV's (pickups) also have leaf springs with an
end eye with a bushing...but they last tens to hundreds of
thousands of miles before they need replacement. Sure some sooner
but they have either lived a very hard life and/or were exposed
to something that aged them.
Most are rubber or some synthetic like rubber. Some are pressed in
and some just pop out with a few hammer blows...depends on how it
was designed
El Cheapo trailer manufacturers strike again... :S
