I saw that both of these are made by the same company. The create a breeze has a white dome and the fantastic fan has a black dome. Also the fantastic fan has reverse air flow where as the create a breeze does not. Other than that, these two look like the exact same thing, but are $50 different in price. Actually for another $10 I can get a fantastic fan with a thermostat. $60 more than the create a breeze.Anyone know of any other differences?

ok...but any difference between the 3 speed fantastic fan and the 3 speed create a breeze fan, besides the reverse air flow and dome color?

Also accroding to that site, when you mouse over the fan speeds for all the products, they all say they are 14 speed...lol

We have the Fantastic Fan with reverse and thermostat. It's worth every penny.If we go for the day the fan will come on when it warms up a bit. The fan works best blowing out. I open a window at the opposite end, on the shady side and the air pulls through the whole trailer.

We have the create-a-breeze in the bathroom of our TT (came with the TT 9 yrs ago). It gets used all the time, except when the AC is running. Like the previous post mentioned we have it blow out and then open a window or roof vent at the other end of the TT.I looked at the Fantastic Fan web site recently when a part failed, and I noticed that the cfm rating of the create-a-breeze fan was the same as the other fantastic Fan models at high speed. So you will get the same max airflow with either fan.Steve

I realize your unit is a few feet bigger than ours is, but based on a few years of having a FF in ours, two of them is IMHO overkill. The airflow these things create is amazing!

In our unit the one FF will keep enough air moving on medium speed that by the time it gets hot enough that that's no longer cutting it, we don't turn it to high, we turn on the A/C.

Thanks Charles, but we are looking to use these for dry camping and therefore being on 12 volt.

I'm not trying to be a smart-aleck....

For our last camping trip the Princess bought one of the
small (12-14") 3 speed black Vornado fans ... one-very quiet,
two-perfect white noise, three- completely drowns out any
neighbors . Multiple angles, great air movement, easy
portability to any seating / reclining area in the 5ver.

I liked the performance so much, going to buy one for the
house. Low tech...yes....get the job done...yes...recommend
...yes.

just another option for consideration.

approx. $40.00.

Thanks all.. sound is not going to matter. Actually I find the sound of a fan soothing at night for sleeping. Since I work during the night and sleep at day I always use a sound machine, so this will be great. I will have to contimplate on whether the additional reverse air flow will be worth the $50. We are looking at getting 2 of them put in, so that will actually be $100. One in the vent over the cab bed and one in the vent in over the master bed. We have a vent in the bathroom, but it already has the little exhaust fan. We will just put a cover over that one.

I have both in my unit. I don't know about any airflow differences but I will say that the Fantastic Fan is much quieter than the Create a Breeze. Could be a difference in speed or distance from my ears but that's certainly my perception. I'd check out the db ratings.

That just means no one at FF/Atwood proofread the webpage before it was posted online (or since). It does highlight an interesting fact though. All of the fan models must have the same fan motor, as evidenced by the fact that the upgrade kit:

can be used to upgrade any of them. The 3-speed fans are speed-limited on the switch. Convert it to a 6600R and it becomes a 14-speed fan.

I have the 6600R in my bathroom. The best feature, IMO, is the rain sensor.

When they first released the Create-A-Breeze, the major difference was the CaB had a limited 2 year warranty and the FF had a lifetime warranty. Now neither has the lifetime warranty, so....
I do believe the dome materials are different as well.

I have both and there is no difference other than the FF has a thermostat and is reversible. I have never used the FF to pull in air it is always exhausting the air.

I'm with my neighbour Fizz, I put a Fantastic Fan in my 24' C, it works so well for us that we rarely even use the A/C any more.

BTW, I was advised to install it in the front roof vent, that was very good advise. On low you can barely hear it from the bed, yet it still draws in an amazing amount of air.
