I installed a fuse switch on the dash, so I can just toggle the fuse on or off. Even with that, I was having a dead battery on the CRV if I towed it more than a couple of hours. It took my wife to figure out I had wired the switch to the wrong fuse. The diagram in the manual is sort of confusing when trying to match it to the actual fuse box stuck back up under the lower dash.
