Curt Q24 Hitch

Hello All,

I just recently purchased a Curt Q24 5er hitch and am trying to get access to the 3 zirk fittings so I can apply grease per the Curt maintenance requirements. It looks like you must manually set the jaws in the green locked position to do this.

I can get the lock bar into the yellow coupling mode, but cannot seem to find the way to get the lock bar into the green lock position mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks! Mark

  • Hey, I'm glad you just bought this. I am looking at the exact hitch but just read something on a site that said u can not hitch to a trailer if you are at a angle. Have you noticed if you have to back straight up to your trailer to lock in? Or can you come at it from an angle? Thanks!
  • Unless I'm missing something, I don't see why it would matter what angle you approached the King Pin, it's round. So the hitch doesn't know what angle you approach it.:h
