Looking at getting a Curt Q25 hitch for a Ford with bed prep. For those with a Curt hitch, how do you like them?
Perfectly happy with my Q20.
KJ - fthorsbyExplorerI like it once it's hooked up, very solid hitch. My only complaint is it can be difficult to get it locked in on my unlevel driveway. Make sure you keep it well greased.
- rtaylor0830ExplorerLove it but it can be a pain to get latched, which is really a good thing because I am sure it is latched when I'm done.
- Charlie_D_ExplorerHave the Q16. Like it and an improvement over the Reese slide bar. No issues with latching or unlatching. Reused the existing base plates from the Reese.
Not as fancy as other more expensive oes but gets the job done. Two pieces so not as heavy when removing.
Best price I found was Amazon. - avvidclif1ExplorerI have the Q20 and like others has said it can be a pain to get latched in. At least until I figured out how. It seems the hitch likes the pin to be exactly centered to latch. That's very hard to do as it's usually slightly off one way or the other. My solution is the back into the pin until it partially latches and the pinbox is fully over the hitch, just not completely latched. Then I use the landing gear to lower the trailer until the weight comes off the landing gear. That allows the hitch and pin to square up. I then raise the trailer and the hitch will latch every time. Obviously the trailer has chocks behind the tires so it can't roll backwards during the time I am raising and lowering the trailer.
- rwjejitsExplorerWith the actual owner responses so far makes me think I'll mark this brand off my list when I eventually get a different TV and hitch.
Never experienced any of those issues with my current hitch (Valley). - mowinExplorerI've never had a problem with my q16.
Latches every time, easily. Straight on or at a slight angle. - Me_AgainExplorer III

I highly advise comparing to the B&W puck hitch. Yes the Curt is known for being difficult. They are Made in China if that matters.
