So my 2012 Ram 3500 has a nice factory head unit that provides the pickup backup camera function, but that's pretty much it because the built-in GPS is clunky and it's much easier to use our phones. For the trailer, we've got a Furion wireless observation system that includes a dedicated monitor/screen. We are also looking at adding a TPMS that will also come with it's own dedicated screen... What are folks doing to layout all of these darn screens in their trucks? Is there a widget out there that could maybe consolidate all of these things into a single screen? Am I the only one that can't seem to find adequate space on my dash or center stack to keep things tidy and out of my line of site for actual driving? :h

I feel your pain. My 2001 F350 has no built in screen so the screens from the rear view camera, Scan Gauge II, TST TPMS, etc. all have to mount somewhere. I have not found anything that will allow more than one of these to share a display. We have the center console always down so a couple of things mount down there off the dash. The TPMS display near the left post on the dash, the rear view is up on the center of the dash, below the dash cam and rear view mirror. Yes there are a lot of things to look at but I have not found a consolidation solution yet.

I hear you. Phone is doing dble duty running GPS and Torque, then there is the dash cam....... orBuy a new truck with all that info packed into the trucks computer...........and then 5 years down the road when the warranty expires be prepared to lay out your wallet to get it replaced.

No off the shelf solution exists.Recently viewed a uTube video of a youth who removed the factory radio and hvac controls from his 2500 and replaced with a 10" tablet. He bought an adapter bezel from somewhere, that could be trimmed to fit any size tablet and fit inside the factory opening, so it looked nice.As long as your gizmos support Android or Apple, they could all share the same screen. I know TPMS come in bluetooth flavor these days, and WiFi backup cameras exist. Not sure if ScanGauge has a bluetooth option, but Android has the Torque app that's very easy to customize and will readout everything available on the OBDII port.

It’s juat as easy without all of that. Everyone did it for years without any add ons.

Wow, all that stuff on the dash, or very near could get you a distracted driving ticket in Washington or Oregon!

Sure, I use a gps and have a pillar mount triple gauge unit on the A pillar. I also have a dash cam, but is small and not noticeable from the drivers seat.
Driving down the road I am old school, factory towing mirrors, been doing that away for 47 years. I mean I have been driving a mirror required vehicle of one type or another for that Long.
I worked in technology for the last 34 years, just saying.

Why would you not care about looking behind you when towing. I tow a car on a dolly and also a motorcycle on a trailer in summer. A rear camera lets me keep an eye on any problem before it happens.

I will definitely look into a TPMS this late spring. We'll see though.

Here here. Well said. New tech features are beginning to grow on me though, but they’re not a necessity and certainly if it’s something to complain about then just resist the urge to purchase it. Trailer tpms, never had it. Probably have some trailer hooked to the truck avg several times a month every month over the years. From local construction work to x country trips.
Backup cam? I have 2 vehicles with it and it’s nice for booking trailers and once you back into a parking spot, being able to get close to whatever is behind you without guessing. Keeps from using the trailer hitch as a poor mans backup sensor, lol!
GPS, it’s in the dash or in my phone. Never seen a need to mount a phone or gps.
Performance displays or additional gauges. I have these on the diesels. Either pillar mount gauges or one small display, like an Edge or Bullydog. This provides mo power so worth it to me.

It's coming. Next thing you'll see on pickup trucks is a detachable camera that you can mount on the rear of the trailer.

Heck I wouldn't doubt but trucks will eventually start coming with their own deployable drones that hover overhead and give you that view while you maneuver.

Currently though, I listen to the audio instructions from the GPS with the phone sitting on the arm rest, get out and look while backing the trailer, and rely on the side view mirrors to tell me when a trailer tire has blown.

All the new tech is pretty darn nice, though. Once you get used to it, it is just so nice.

Like when power windows and air conditioning were options only on luxury cars. Now it is almost impossible to get a vehicle without those "options".
