- skipncharExplorerI always did the job myself until I got tired of constantly doing it. Tossed the day/nights and installed drapes on travis rods. MUCH less problems and they give the RV a "home" feeling about it.
- rockhillmanorExplorerCall RV mobile Repair. They will come out and fix them on the spot.
OR
Go to any camping store, they now have kits for sale with instructions for a very nominal fee. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIEverything you want to know about fixing shades......LINK
- tvfrfiremanExplorerBelieve it or not I actually enjoyed restring the blinds. I bought a large roll and at least once a month had one to repair. It is very simple with instructions available on line. We now have a new trailer with pull down shades which eliminated the problem. If I can do it, so can you.
- ontheroad101ExplorerWe bought a kit at a RV show, came with a DVD. The two string ones are easy to do, the 4 string ones are a little more complicated. Did buy extra string at a large fabric store.
- donn0128Explorer IILots of threads on this subject. It is quite easy to do. Go to any large fabric store and buy the string. Or you can order the kit on line including instructions. Personally I bought the string for cheap at a fabric store and dyed it using tea to match the color I wanted.
