With that service manager's attitude, I wouldn't let them near MY camper with a 10 foot pole. You paid already so they are as likely to damage the finish as clean it properly. What if they used diesel fuel to cut the glue? Or worse, a too-stiff brush and scratched the******out of the finish? No thank you, keep the heck away from MY campers.
BTW, you did not have unrealistic expectations. But now that you know their minds, you are lucky they didn't do more.
