Dealer wanted 160$ for maxx air. I did it for 30$.

To be fair the salesman wanted to sell me two. The way the RV is built there is no way you could fit the 2nd one as the air trap it partially under the AC unit already.

Bought another brand for 30$(CAD) and installed it myself in maybe 15 minutes; most of that spent climbing up to and down the roof to raise/lower the vent to make sure it fits before I drill and bolt.

I saved at least 50$ and am sure that it's well installed and secure. Also gave me a chance to snap a picture of the schematic inside the AC unit to try to see if I have a hard start capacitor.
  • Dealer installs are always a rip-off. The only things I had the dealer install on my rig was the Washer/dryer, and my 3rd A/C.

That's what I did. Drilled the side of the vent and used the l-bracket and bolts. Would not want to start poking holes in the roof either.
