Decorate for the Holidays - Pictures

Hello all, Not sure where to post this so tried here. This is my wifes and I first year fulltiming and holidays. We love this time of year. I am looking for pics of your rigs showing ideas of how to decorate. Is this an OK thing to ask?
  • Well, there's always my favorite (although this is more appropriate in the Summer than around Halloween), The Jack-o-mellon, boy did we have fun doing these:

    And then there was Christmas in July (2 trailers ago) --

    And then, when we go to Florida over Christmas, we always bring along our 2 friends for the road trip:

    Two years ago when we went to Florida over Christmas, we took "Bambi" with us. He was the only outside decoration we took. His two friends stayed inside the camper.

    And then, sometimes we take Bambi's brother along with us. He's a souvenir from The Great Wolf Lodge near Cincinnati, Ohio. He travels with us too:

  • We have a couple of friends that full-time and they have a 3' tall "skinny" tree in their living room with lights. It doesn't take up too much room and then they put a lot of their lights outside on their EZup tent FRAME. They put the lights on their frame in case they have to take the cover off - the lights stay up.

    Another friend has a palm tree with lights that is kinda cool and a sunbathing Santa light.

    Just do whatever you would do if you were at home, but remember storage considerations.
  • I can't decorate for Halloween of Thanksgiving - all the stores have Christmas stuff out now. :(
  • I don't have any pic's to post but we have small decorations for every holiday. You can too. I have 2 Rubbermaid tubs in the basement for Christmas and stuff stashed in several cabinets inside. For the fall and Thanksgiving I have a 10" fall doll, a small metal pumpkin on the kitchen counter and a table runner on the buffet top. For Christmas I hang stockings on the back cornice box, a 3 ft skinny Christmas tree and various other decorations. I have Valentines day, St Patricks, 4th of July, mostly flat things that fit easily in a cabinet. Keep your eyes open for small folding or flat decorations.
  • My son and his wife drive a truck cross-country. They "live" in the Louisville area and have a storage container there with their household items in it. They do not currently have a living space.

    They keep their summer clothes in the truck with them in Rubbermaid totes and their winters are in the storage container. They switched out last week when they had a run through the area. It detoured them about 30 minutes to go get them. They do keep some summer clothes with them because they never know where they are going to be headed. They spent several weeks in the Texas, Arizona area last winter, which they really liked and were glad they had a few of their summer clothing.

    If I were full-timing, instead of having a storage building, I would just ship my Christmas stuff to my sister who owns a manufacturing company and a big warehouse. When fall arrives next year, she can ship it to me or we could pick it up when we were in the area.

    I don't know if you have those options, but shipping on a medium size box is not that expensive.
  • We only put up decorations for Xmas time and here are several pics from past years;
