Def

The composition of DEF is given in Federal law. There is no allowance for "secret sauce" or even dye to distinguish yours from theirs. It cannot be legally watered down nor souped up. In short, the ONLY difference allowed in the price and in the container and the label thereof. DEF is a commodity. Buy the cheapest you can find, being careful to check for expiration date and container seals.

What is more, distilled water and urea are two of the cheapest substances known to mankind. Thus there is no incentive for anyone to add some cheaper stuff to the mix -- there IS no cheaper stuff.

Because they’re even cheaper than us pilots and they’d rather spend the $6 for a pack job on more jumping.......

Go to any skydiving center and you’ll see numerous people who do nothing but pack other peoples rigs for them.

This is my philosophy too. As a consumer, why should I risk buying anything in an open package? Once opened, you have absolutely no idea what may have been done to the product. That's what I buy too. Cheapest deal I've found next to buying it from the pump, which is a hassle in my area

Good point. Another thing I noticed at the Depot is that they now tie your drivers lic to the "in store credit" card. You also have to scratch off for a pin. I wonder why they did that? :)
