I was told that when your pulling RVs you are considered an independent contractor and run under the company your contracted to USDOT number so you don't need to get one yourself. As for the drivers license it is generally only required to be the chauffeurs license unless you pull the bigger triple axle toy haulers then you need the CDL, a lot depends on the state your license is from requires. That info all comes from 2 different companies up here in Northern Indiana that hire people to haul or pull their campers.
WA doesn't have a chauffeurs classification on the driver's license, so it looks like I need a CDL.
I'm going to contact the company tomorrow and try to get some more details from them.
