I'd prefer not to deal with a 5th wheel hitch right now (or ever) because what's the point of shelling out the money if after 6 months I decide this gig isn't my thing.
You can install the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch, which is all below the bed floor. Their Companion fifth wheel hitch unit installs into the gooseneck ball socket. The Companion hitch installs/removes easily, for use with the truck camper.
