Insurance may get you at up to 10K/yr and usually will cost at least 8K the first 2 years. We had a Class 8 Truck and insurance was 11K/yr and climbing. It isn't a highly profitable business. My brother was leased to Horizon out of Elkhart In and got avg 1.35/loaded mile and almost half was ety. Motels cost $90 a day, diesel fuel for a 2000 mi Rt is $985. Truck payement, replacement costs and maintenence are all expensive. They require you to run 500 miles a day wehn hooked up also. Want to double your money?
