Demco Baseplate, Ready Brake, Tow Daddy Installation

The DW and I like to do as much ourselves as possible, so when it came to time to convert our 2011 Jeep Liberty into a toad/dinghy, we looked into doing it ourselves. We had converted our Jeep Wrangler over to a toad and figured how much different could it be. Well it was different, the Wrangler was easier.
We knew we were going with the Demco/Ready Brake setup because our towbar is the ReadyBrute and is setup with Demco connections. As for the lights, we went with Tow Daddy.
We looked online for videos showing how to do this and there were not many at all, so we videoed the whole process and posted it on our YouTube channel. We just show the basic install that worked for us by following the directions. The videos are not meant to be instructional videos and we take no responsibility for anything that may happen if they are used as such. They are just what we would have liked to had seen before jumping into this project.

What year is your liberty? We just purchased an 04..and need to set up.

    Ours is a 2011.
  • I have installed two Demco base plates myself, they were both so well engineered and the instructions so complete, it couldn't be easier.
Another reason to do it yourself, especially with something this critical is I know the care I will use in the instillation.
I don't know how important the finished job is to the guy at the local job shop.

You are welcome. Just trying to put something out there for anyone who is looking for the answers we were. :)
