Not sure what type of dishwasher and clothes washer detergents are safe to use. And, where is the best place to buy these?

All washers now should us the HE detergent??????
At any rate use liquid detergents.
Everyone my age recalls seeing deposits of soap powder, in areas of washing machines etc.
I use liquid bath soap too in shower at home and on the road.
If you use bar soap or long you will notice soap film. Of course with liquid you may too but we wipe the shower down every time.
