Dewinterized, Got down to 22 degrees, Problems?

same here ... dewinterized in the mid 60s last weekend, now it's 23 outside and near blizzard conditions.

I turned on the propane and electric heat... ugh never ending winter!

Unit is a 3 year old Montana 5th wheel, I was told it was rated to 20 degrees. I did leave the furnance on, set to 45 degrees. Am I in for some I told you so's and repair bills?

No one can guarantee that you won't have a problem.

I do think you are OK though. It was a good idea to run the furnace. You should also leave the cupboard doors open where there are water lines, and also the door to the water heater (on the inside of course).

I agree if the furnace is on the the inside of the 5er is at 45 should not be an issue. Even over night from a 70 degree day to a 22 degree night should be ok it takes a bit for the water to freeze. How long to make ice in your freezer at -10 degrees?

I seriously doubt that you have any freeze problems, especially with the heat on.You can find out by using your water tank, pressurize the plumbing system with all valves closed. Pump should quit when pressurized. If it continues to cycle you have a problem. Be sure to by-pass the hot water tank, it most likely would not freeze.

X3. You should be fine, especially if temps rebound above freezing during the day.

I do not think you will have a problem but I would set it higher then 45. I have my basement at 55.

We're in the same boat as well. Had the TT dewinterized Friday and parked it in out driveway to get it cleaned up and stocked. Saturday it got to almost 80 degrees. Had just a little more to done when we woke up Sunday. The weather got worse and worse and our forecasted "slight chance of wintery mix" turned into a full blown blizzard. We pulled in the slide before it got too much ice on it and left the furnace on low. Supposed to pull it back to the storage lot today after work but since it's going to be below 30 tonight again we may have to wait another day so we can keep it hooked up to electricity and keep the furnace on.

I de-winterized the other day too, in prep for an Easter weekend trip. Now the forecast is for temps Tues night of 15-19 over night. So out came the air hose adapter and I blew all the water lines out. I also plan on putting a 1500 watt elect heater in the basement area for added insurance.

A good rule to live by, "Is it is better to be safe, than sorry" In the 46+ past years as RV'ers, we have never had so much as one leak or a cracked hose from any cold weather.

You should be fine, we had several nights in the low-mid 20's this spring after de-winterizing and the temp inside the camper never got below freezing.

If your water tank is full, and exposed the water pump line might have gotten a little frozen but it should be fine as there is lots of room to expand with just a light freeze.
