Dewinterized, Got down to 22 degrees, Problems?

Well I dewinterized and sanitized water system last week. Saturday was 75 degrees and we got everything all cleaned up and we are ready to go. My better half was against the dewinterizing and I said don't worry it isn't going to get that cold, well it was 22 degrees this morning and expected to be that again Wednesday morning.

What do you think? Frozen pipes?

Unit is a 3 year old Montana 5th wheel, I was told it was rated to 20 degrees. I did leave the furnance on, set to 45 degrees. Am I in for some I told you so's and repair bills?
  • Thanks for all the replies. My thought is it will be OK but I can't stand the thought of "I told you so" from the better half. That will hurt more than the repair costs.
  • That is the same thing we are experiencing. I de-winterized and we took a trip (I posted about that) and here we are again looking like winter. It's snowing out right now. I drained all the water and it is not a constant freeze. I am hoping it will be fine.
  • I'm with you guys. Getting ready for a weekender and now instawinter.

I've got the oil filled radiator on low and one of the basement bay lights (incandescent = hot) on. All doors are open that contain plumbing, with small fans blowing in them.

And then, because I'm a nerd, I put my wireless BBQ thermometer out there too. Ambient is currently 33, interior is at 45. No worries.
  • I winterized just last week after spending the winter in AZ and it was 75* when I did. Lived her since 1945 and pretty much figured out this country. Sure enough was 19* this morning.
  • The only problem I see is that it was 75 and it is now 22!!! seriously, if you were/are running the heat you should have no issues. pressurize the water system and see if it holds pressure!

if it makes you feel any better it was 80 here on Saturday and today we got 2 inches of snow!!!!! :M although I didn`t dewinterize yet. probably first week of May.
  • -8C here this morning, snow and ice covering all the grass which was just starting to turn green. cold gusty winds from the North right now.
