I highly recommend this tool from Harbor Freight. Or a local auto supply store may rent one.
Ball Joint service Kit
It is a little money but it will make installation much easier and quicker.
I have never had problems greasing my wet bolts.
Be sure to check each bolt and verify the hole goes all the way to the cross hole. I found two bolts that were not drilled all the way.
I also mounted mine with the grease zerks on the inside. Much easier to get a grease gun on and apply the needed pressure.
Another way to help greasing is drill the cross hole all the way through the bolt. Just be sure to clean the hole at the surface of the bolt. This can be done by drilling a slight depression with a 1/2 drill bit and polish with some emery paper.
